摘要: In studying automorphism groups of projective varieties X, it is a basic problem to understand its induced action on the cohomology groups, say with rational coefficients. We call an automorphism σ∈Aut(X) numerically trivial, if it induces the trivial action on H^* (X,Q). For surfaces (and curves) of general type, the group Aut_Q (X) of numerically trivial automorphisms is uniformly bounded. In dimension 3, ZHAO Hang found examples of threefolds of general type with terminal singularities whose Aut_Q (X) can be arbitrarily large. In this talk, I report on a joint work with JIANG Zhi and ZHAO Hang, establishing the uniform boundedness of Aut_Q (X) for some classes of smooth threefolds of general type, such as those with maximal Albanese dimension or with Gorenstein minimal models.
