On June 1, 2021, the 2021 Young Teachers' Forum of the College of Mathematical Sciences was successfully held in the 108 lecture hall of Zhiyuan Building. The first and second half of the forum were hosted by Professor Su Yucai and Professor Rui Hebing, winners of the Outstanding Youth Fund. President Xu Xuejun delivered an opening speech. Seventeen young teachers of the College reported their recent scientific research work in turn. The members of the Academic Committee of the College attended the forum and commented on the scientific research work of young teachers.

The young teachers who participated in the forum report covered all assistant professors, distinguished researchers and some young associate professors of the college, and came from five teaching and research departments, including algebra and number theory, computational mathematics, analysis and geometry, financial mathematics and differential equations, and operations research and combination. At the forum, each young teacher reported on the ongoing scientific research work and the scientific research progress made. Experts from the Academic Committee asked questions and commented, evaluating young teachers' scientific research work, and discussed with them about the possible research directions in the next step, so as to provide advice and suggestions for young teachers to better carry out scientific research.

The Youth Teachers' Forum is the largest and most widely covered youth forum held by the College in recent years. It is also one of the important measures in the activity "I do practical things for teachers and students" in the study and education of the Party history within the College of Mathematics and Science. It is hoped that through this form, some problems of young teachers in the scientific research work of the College could be solved and young teachers could be helped to develop better and faster. In the future, the college will summarize the experience of this forum, strengthening the achievements of Party history study and education, persisting in the guidance of young teachers' scientific research work, so as to form a long-term mechanism to help young teachers develop.
